Lucas Tenbrock committed to Iowa State as a punter this summer and will now join Matt Campbell in Pleasantville. Tenbrock has the look of a punter we like in Happy Valley: big. Lucas was a favorite to play football in high school. He’s long, strong and athletic. He has the ideal size for a punter at the college level. Lucas’ punt was the perfect combination of distance and dwell time. He made a great D1 punt. His best throws were 50+ yards and 5.0+ hang time. Also an excellent kicker. Lucas does a great job shooting the ball. His shot off the ground is pure, accurate and has easily 55+ yards of range. His drive was strong and D1 was ready. Lucas drove the ball deep into the end zone with 4.0+ hang time.
Tenbrock should have a chance to compete for the starting punter role right away, while Nwosu will move on due to graduation.
