Paige Shiver has been revealed to be the executive assistant to fired University of Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore and has deep ties to the sports world as the daughter of a veteran Chicago Bears scout.

The 32-year-old, who had only recently been promoted to her current position in Michigan’s athletic department, became embroiled in the scandal this week when her former boss was arrested on suspicion of breaking into her apartment with a knife.

While school officials and local authorities have not identified Shiver as the alleged victim or Moore’s mistress, Washtenaw County Prosecutor Kati Rezmierski presented information at the former coach’s arraignment on Friday that suggested she was at the center of the scandal.

Rezmierski said the female victim and Moore had had an “intimate relationship” for years and that the confrontation between Moore and the victim occurred at her home – which public records show belongs to Shiver.

The scandal burst into public view on Wednesday when Michigan State athletics announced that Moore had been fired for having an “inappropriate relationship” with a staff member.

As the story unfolds, it’s revealed that Schiffer’s love of pork rinds extended beyond Michigan.

Her father, Jeff, works in the Bears’ front office and has been scouting the best college football players for more than three decades.

Meanwhile, her uncle, Emerson Campen III, played basketball at Butler University and is currently an assistant men’s basketball coach at the University of Indianapolis.

In 2016, Shiver, a native of West Lafayette, Indiana, and a graduate of Purdue University, was profiled on the Bears’ official website as she sought to raise awareness about Pompe disease, a rare, progressive disorder with which she was diagnosed midway through her junior year in college.

The disease affects about 1 in 40,000 Americans and damages the heart and skeletal muscles.

“My whole body hurts,” she admitted in her profile.

“When I’m in pain, which I really am, there’s nothing you can do except hope and pray that it will go away. This disease has had a huge impact on my life and sometimes I feel like it has taken over my life because every day is a battle.”

Despite her poor health, Schiffer’s career path eventually led her into college athletic administration.

According to public records, she joins the University of Michigan in the 2022-23 academic year as an administrative specialist in the athletics department.

In mid-November, she was promoted to executive assistant to the head coach.

Shiver has also become part of local lore—she has a $12, 12-inch gluten-free cauliflower pizza named in her honor at The Brown Jug, a popular restaurant in Ann Arbor.

Moore also prepared a dish for him – a sample basket of jalapeño popcorn, chicken tenders, onion rings and cheese sticks with a choice of two sauces for just $13.

The stunning blonde beauty and Moore’s wife of 10 years, Kelly, also follow each other on the platform.

Moore’s name became associated with the saga when she broke into the Pittsfield Township apartment where Shriver lived Wednesday.

Records show the young woman rented the one-bedroom home for about $1,800 a month.

Police audio shows a woman called a 911 dispatcher to report that Moore, the Wolverines’ second-year head coach, was armed with a knife and had been following her “for months.”

The audio also showed Moore threatened to harm himself during the conversation, before he fled on foot and was arrested at a nearby church.

Moore reportedly came forward with details of their alleged affair when Moore decided to fire the woman rather than move her elsewhere in the football program or athletic department.

The fired coach reportedly left the football field and headed straight to Schiffer’s apartment just after he was fired.

Moore was charged with felony breaking and entering and two misdemeanors, including stalking and breaking and entering, authorities said Friday.

He appeared in court and was released on $25,000 bail, which was posted shortly after his arraignment and he was eventually released.

The Saline, Mich., Police Department, the Pittsfield Township Police Department and the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Department did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Attempts to contact Moore and Trembling were unsuccessful.
