Kilmarnock boss Stuart Kettlewell insists he seeks consistency and correct results in refereeing decisions after admitting “sheer frustration” got the better of him during last weekend’s 3-0 defeat to Rangers.
Kettlewell will serve a one-match suspension from the touchline during Sunday’s Premier League match at Aberdeen after he was ordered to the stands for his reaction to a decision as he felt some key decisions were wrongly taken against his team.

“We’re all talking about players making sure they show discipline, so you obviously get annoyed at yourself for losing your mind,” he said.
“I think everyone will understand how much it means to me, winning football games,
“You’re not asking for favoritism in a decision, you’re just asking for the result that you think is right. At the end of the day, I’m a human being. I work as hard as anyone else at the football club to try and see if I can get a result in a football game.”
“I accept that humans make mistakes, we all make mistakes. That’s consistency.”

Kettlewell confirmed he had not sought clarification from SFA head of referee operations Willie Collum in the past.
But he revealed the club had sent its own video analysis assessing similar decisions in the game ahead of a scheduled meeting between the head coach and officials next week.
“I think there will be a lot of people sitting in the same position as me [at that gathering],” he said.
“I’ve had very good communication with Willy so far and I think he’s done a lot to try and improve things, but I think we’ll both admit that we sometimes don’t see the results of that work at the weekend.
“This is a big moment in football. I’m not looking for any favors. I just want consistency. I’m trying not to sit here and make excuses.”
