The Brooklyn Nets have had 52 jersey numbers worn by more than 600 different players throughout their history since their founding in 1967 as a charter member of the American Basketball Association (ABA), when the team was known as the “New Jersey Americans.”

Since then, the league has been absorbed into the NBA, with the teams becoming the New York Nets and New Jersey Nets before settling on their current names, bringing their rich history of players and jerseys to the league today.

To honor the players who have played for the Nets and worn these 52 different jersey numbers over the decades, Nets Wire reports on the entire history of the team’s jersey numbers and the players who have worn them since the franchise’s inception.
In today’s article, we will continue to introduce No. 13 among the 22 players, the big alumni Dwayne Schintzius who wears the No. 33 jersey. After finishing his college career at the University of Florida, Hintzius was selected by the San Antonio Spurs with the 24th overall pick in the 1990 NBA Draft.
The Brandon, Fla., native is spending his first professional season with the Spurs. He also played for the Sacramento Kings before signing with the (then) New Jersey (now Brooklyn) Nets in 1992. His stay with the team lasted until 1995, when he signed with the Indiana Pacers.
During his time with the Nets, Sintius only wore jersey No. 33 and averaged 2.1 points and 2.3 rebounds per game.
