Arizona Cardinals Week 14 offensive snap counts, observations vs. Rams

In the Arizona Cardinals’ 45-17 loss to the Los Angeles Cardinals on Sunday, 17 players played in at least one of the 62 offensive snaps.

Quarterback Jacoby Brissett, left guard Jon Gaines II, center Halter Froholt, right guard Isaiah Adams and right tackle Kelvin Beachum played in every game. Tight end Trey McBride played in just two games.

Rookie center/linebacker Hayden Conner made his first NFL appearance, but only on special teams.

The first number after each name is the snapshot and the second number is the percentage. Players in bold are starting players.

Arizona Cardinals Week 14 Offensive Snap Count: Quarterbacks

  • Active, not used: Kedon Slovis

  • Substitute/Injured (eligible to return, but will not): Kyler Murray

Brissett had another great game but lost again. He completed 25 of 44 passes for 271 yards and two touchdowns, but his one interception resulted in a passer rating of 80.8. He rushed for 22 yards and gained 11 yards on three carries, plus a well-choreographed midfield run that capped a 63-yard field goal attempt on the final play of the first half.

running back

  • Michael Carter(33/53), Bam Knight(29/47)

  • Inactive: Emari DeMercado (injured)

  • Active/Not Appeared: Corey Kiner

  • Substitute/Injured: Trey Benson (eligible to return/practice), James Conner (eligible to return, but will not)

Nothing to brag about. Knight (7-16) and Carter (3-13) combined for 29 yards on 10 attempts, averaging 2.9 yards. Carter had two catches for 18 yards and Knight had three catches for 18 yards. Therefore, the two runners combined for 65 yards from scrimmage in 15 touches.

wide receiver

  • Michael Wilson (49/79), Andre Basella (49/79), Jalen Brooks (25/40), Trent Sheffield Sr. (9/15)

  • Inactive: WR Marvin Harison Jr. (injured), Xavier Weaver (injured)

  • Substitute/Injured: Greg Dortch (eligible to return), Simi Fehoko (eligible to return), Zay Jones (eligible to return, but will not)

Without Harrison to gobble up targets, Wilson caught 11 of 16 targets for 142 yards and two touchdowns. Yes, his 19-yard score actually gave the Cardinals a 7-0 lead 2:55 into the game. Brooks, who signed with the practice squad on Oct. 30 and was promoted in this game where he may get more playing time, had two catches on three targets for 32 yards and a long of 20 yards. Basella had three targets for one catch for three yards, while Sheffield was targeted once. He was signed to the roster last Tuesday.

tight end

After catching two targets for 45 yards in the opening game, McBride had just three catches for 13 yards on seven receptions the rest of the game. However, after a rushing pass for 5 yards in the final quarter, he reached 5 yards in the game, tying the Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce for the most consecutive catches by a tight end (15) in NFL history. Higgins and Deguara had been targeted. Higgins caught his ball behind the line of scrimmage and had to break the tackle to get back to the line of scrimmage.

offensive lineman

Although Brown posted on social media over the summer that he and his wife were expecting a baby at the end of the year, Brown has been inactive for unknown personal reasons. Johnson only played in 35 games due to a knee injury.
