Lenovo Legion Go India Launch Date Set for June 27; Key Features Confirmed

Lenovo Legion Go confirmed to be launched in India soon. The company revealed the launch date of the handheld console in the country in a press release. It also revealed some key specifications and features of the handheld console. It will debut during the 2023 IFA (Internationale FunkAusstellung Berlin). The Lenovo Legion Go is powered by AMD Ryzen Z1 series chips and runs Windows 11 and Legion Space gaming software. It comes with a removable RGB illuminated Hall effect joystick.

Lenovo Legion Go India launch event

The Lenovo Legion Go will launch in India on June 27, the company confirmed in a press release. A microsite for the product is also live on the Lenovo India website. It confirmed several details about the upcoming handheld console. The company also confirmed that all buyers will receive three months of free Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

According to the microsite, the Indian version of Lenovo Legion Go will support Legion Glasses. It is also confirmed to support three modes – handheld, detachable and FPS (first-person shooter). The latter mode uses an optional controller dock to convert part of the controller into a vertical mouse to help with better aiming in FPS games.

Lenovo Legion Go features

The Lenovo Legion Go Indian model has been confirmed to feature an 8.8-inch QHD+ touchscreen display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz and a brightness level of 500 nits. It is confirmed to be powered by AMD Ryzen Z1 series chipset and run Windows 11. The console will also feature the company’s Legion ColdFront cooling system.

Lenovo also confirmed that the Legion Go will support 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB PCIe Gen4 onboard storage. It also supports storage expansion up to 2TB via microSD card.

Lenovo Legion Go will be equipped with a 49.2Wh battery that supports fast charging. It will also come with power bypass and battery optimization mode. The teaser image suggests that the console will launch in India in Shadow Black color option.
