Chase Sexton and Ken Roczen won their preliminary round last week at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego.

Jorge Prado gets great jumps and holes.
Cowboy Aaron Plessinger kept Prado in sight during the first half of the race, with Hunter Lawrence taking the final spot on the podium. The top three were separated by just two seconds.
In fourth, Ken Roczen kept the leading trio honest.
The Prado has come a long way in supercross.
Prado put dangerous pressure on Plessinger on the final lap and won the heat.
Plessinger lost his bike entering the final corner and dropped out of second place. Hunter Lawrence inherited second place.
Roczen moved up to third.
Fourth place finisher Justin Cooper and Christian Craig rounded out the top five.

Plessinger’s bike was wrecked, but the leaders had a big enough advantage in shifting positions that he limped home in eighth.
