2026 Fantasy Baseball Park Factors: Ranking the best (and worst) MLB stadiums by hitting boosts

Throughout the season, fantasy baseball writers often refer to certain ballparks as “hitter-friendly” or “pitcher-friendly.” While we use these broad definitions to save space and maintain the flow of the paragraph, these terms do not always give a broad picture. Additionally, some writers use these terms incorrectly because they cling to an image of a ballpark that is outdated or never accurate.

coors field

Colorado’s hitter’s paradise remains far ahead of the top ballparks. It can increase home runs and batting average while reducing strikeouts. Most pitchers will need to be relievers in Colorado. Coors could help the Rockies’ offseason additions Willie Castro and Jack McCarthy have their best seasons.

Sutter Health Park

Minor league parks generally perform well for hitters, which makes it no surprise that the Athletics’ temporary home is a band that maximizes power numbers and overall scoring. For an organization with emerging offensive stars like Nick Kurtz, Jacob Wilson and Shea Langelers, Sutter’s time healthy is the best thing that could happen.

Lianxin Park

This is surprising since Allied is usually more of a neutral park. In 2025, this is a top-five prospect in both homers and runs. It’s no secret that Detroit’s hitters have trouble with the cold weather in the spring, but the park’s hitters hit well during the warmer months. Personally, I need to see more evidence in 2026 before I can consider UnionSignal a true venue for hitters. This is something to monitor as the season progresses.

Dodger Stadium

Many fans are so busy attributing the Dodgers’ high-scoring offense to their superior talent that they overlook the contribution of a home ballpark that has become the most home-run ballpark in baseball. The passion for home runs at Dodger Stadium is another reason to add Kyle Tucker to the 2026 roster.

Camden Yards Oriole Park

Camden Yards ranks second in sparking home runs, which puts Camden Yards fifth in overall park coefficient. The changes to the outfield wall have had a dramatic effect, which is good news for upstart Orioles like Tyler Ward and Pete Alonso.

T-Mobile Park

T-Mobile is one of the best fields for pitchers every year because it not only suppresses run scoring, but also increases strikeout opportunities. Thanks in part to a historic season in Raleigh, Calif., the Mariners ranked ninth in points scored (766) last season. The last time the club scored more than 768 points was in 2007, which means even with a talented team, their offense is likely to be hampered by the park and decline slightly this year.

Global Life Park

Globe Life quickly became one of the toughest parks in baseball for hitters. Regardless, Corey Seager has had success, but players like Marcus Semien, Joc Pederson, Jake Burger, Adolis García and Jonah Heim have all had disappointing fantasy seasons as a member of the Rangers in recent years. Fantasy managers shouldn’t go too far in predicting Texas’ hitters, including freshman Brandon Nimmo.

progressive areas

The combination of an improved field and Cleveland’s mediocre roster should result in the Guardians finishing near the bottom of the league in scoring for the second straight year. This is another reason I recommend investing cautiously in Jose Ramirez, who is talented but has some limitations to overcome this year.

Petco Park

Petco has long been known as a pitcher’s park. From a fantasy perspective, there’s not a lot to glean from this pick, as the Padres didn’t add many fantasy-relevant players this offseason.

PNC Park

The Pirates’ homestand is great at doubles and triples, but in 2025, it’s the toughest home run park in baseball. In fact, its park HR coefficient is 66, well below the 29th-place total (77, Busch Stadium). The Pirates added three power hitters in the offseason, Brandon Lowe, Marcell Ozuna and Ryan O’Hearn, who could be adversely affected by the new venue.

myth, shattered

— American Family Field in Milwaukee is widely regarded as a hitter’s park, but it was slightly tilted toward pitchers last year.

— Cincinnati’s Great American Ball Park continues to emphasize home runs, but the overall offense is mediocre. So is Yankee Stadium.

— Oracle Park is considered one of the best venues for pitchers, but was middling last season. Still, it’s a tough park to hit a home run at.

— Citi Field is one of the favorite parks for left-handed hitters, but right-handers rank near the bottom. Unfortunately, the Mets’ three most notable prospects, Beau Bichette, Marcus Semien and Luis Robert Jr., all hit from the right side.

— Fenway Park is slightly more favorable to right-handed hitters, but thanks to the pesky pole, it’s one of the best parks in baseball for left-handed hitters. Unfortunately, Wilson Contreras and Caleb Durbin, the newest members of Boston’s lineup, hit the ball from the right side.

— Chase Field and Rogers Center had some similarities last year in that both parks catered to right-handed hitters and were neutral for lefties. Fortunately, Toronto freshman Kazuma Okamoto and D-back Nolan Arenado hit the ball from the right side.
