Co-hosts and defending champions India will battle West Indies for the group’s second semi-final berth in Kolkata later on Sunday.
England and New Zealand advanced to the semi-finals from Group Two. Pakistan and co-host Sri Lanka were eliminated.
Zimbabwe made one change to its line-up with wrist spinner Graeme Cremer returning to the squad in place of medium-pacer Richard Ngarava.
South Africa, the only unbeaten team at this World Cup, chose to test the strength of their bench before the semi-finals and made three changes.
Pacers Kewna Maphaka and Anrich Nortje and all-rounder George Linde got a match. Left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj and pacers Marco Jansen and Kagiso Rabada have been rested.
