Xbox Game Pass will add games such as RoadCraft, Hades, Frostpunk 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 in late September. Modern Warfare 3 is set to release in 2023 and is now available with a standard membership through the game’s subscription service. This month’s second wave of Game Pass games also includes Deep Rock: Survivors, Mana, Lara Croft, Guardian of Light, and more.
Second wave of Xbox Game Pass games for September announced
Microsoft announced the new Xbox Game Pass features in an Xbox Wire post on Tuesday. Saber Interactive’s vehicle simulation game RoadCraft was added to the service on September 16th. RoadCraft, released in May, puts players in charge of a construction company that specializes in repairing natural disaster sites. Leveraging the game’s detailed vehicle simulation and realistic physics, players can clear debris and rebuild infrastructure damaged by natural disasters.
RoadCraft is available to Game Pass Ultimate and Standard users on Xbox Series S/X and Cloud.

On Wednesday, Microsoft added Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the third game in a new trilogy of Modern Warfare games, to Game Pass Standard members on Xbox consoles. Other games joining the Game Pass Standard membership subscription service on September 17 include For the King II and Overthron (game preview). These games were previously available to Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.
Microsoft will also launch day one of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 on Game Pass on November 14th. From October 2 to October 8, Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers will have access to the Black Ops 7 Beta.
Deep Rock Galaxy: Survivors is a top-down spin-off of Deep Rock Galaxy and is now available on Game Pass. The game is available on cloud, PC, and Xbox Series S/X with PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate memberships.
Frostpunk 2 will be available to Game Pass Ultimate members on September 18th. This city-building survival game is the sequel to Frostpunk, set 30 years after the first game. Players are tasked with building a city and leading it through a post-apocalyptic, snowy environment. The game is playable on Xbox Series S/X and Cloud. On Thursday, Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard members will also receive Wobbly Life, which will be playable on Xbox Series S/X, PC, and the cloud.
Hades returns to Game Pass on September 19, marking the fifth anniversary of its release. The critically acclaimed roguelike dungeon crawler will be available to Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard members on PC, Xbox Series S/X, and cloud platforms. Hades will join the service ahead of Hades 2 launching on Nintendo Switch 2 next week.
Endless Legend 2 will be available in Game Pass preview on PC on September 22nd. The strategy game is a day-one launch for the subscription service. A day later, Game Pass will add roguelike co-op action game Sorn, available on the cloud, PC, and Xbox Series S/X.
“Peppa Pig: World of Adventures” and “Visions of Mana” will join the service on September 25th, while “Lara Croft” and “Keeper of Light” will join on September 30th.
Microsoft will also release the narrative adventure game Sopa – The Stolen Potato Story on October 7 as a day-one game for Game Pass. On October 1st, Game Pass core members will receive Cities: Skylines – Remastered Edition, Disney Dreams, and Warhammer 40,000: Undertow.
Microsoft also announced that games will be leaving Game Pass on September 30th. These include Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor’s Edge, and Terra Invicta (game preview).
