It’s WrestleMania season, and it wouldn’t be the case if there weren’t plans to change the big event. WWE has reportedly shaken up WrestleMania by canceling the proposed Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns match, instead solidifying Roman Reigns as the challenger for CM Punk’s World Heavyweight Championship, while Rhodes appears to be facing undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre. Now, with “Raw” star Bron Breakker’s untimely injury, another potential fandom change could be brewing.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Blake was unable to compete after undergoing surgery for a “severe hernia.” PWInsider has confirmed that Breakker was injured on Raw last Monday when Breakker tipped over the announcers’ desk at an angle that destroyed the ringside area; by Wednesday, it was determined that he would require surgery. Neither report specified how long Breakker would be out of action, which could put Breakker’s WrestleMania status in jeopardy.

Breakker’s “Raw” rampage was the result of an Angle clash at the Royal Rumble a few days earlier. While competing in second place, Breakker was attacked by a masked man, causing him to be eliminated by Oba Femi soon after he finally entered the ring. As a result, Breakker became the first Rumble contestant to be eliminated.
Many immediately speculated that the mystery attacker was none other than Seth Rollins, who has been sidelined with an arm injury since October and was last seen being betrayed by Breakker and The Vision on “Raw.” While Rollins’ status for WrestleMania remains unknown, the Rumble angle and subsequent reports indicate that Breaker vs. Rollins will likely take place on one of the two nights at WrestleMania.
