Woman hit by truck pulling Mardi Gras float at Shreveport Centaur Parade

period Centaur Parade On Saturday, February 7, a woman was struck by a pickup truck pulling a Mardi Gras float.

The 24-year-old woman suffered injuries to her lower body after the incident, according to the Shreveport Police Department. The police also stated that the driver is not suspected of inappropriate behavior at present.

The incident happened near the Shreveport-Barksdale Expressway and East Kings Highway around 6 p.m. The woman was taken to a nearby hospital for her injuries and is expected to recover.

Police said the incident remains under investigation.
