Wisconsin volleyball star Carter Booth drops f-bomb after Badgers advance to Final Four

The Wisconsin volleyball team is headed back to the Final Four.

Carter Booth was convinced.

After the third-seeded Badgers pulled off a four-set upset over No. 1 Texas in the regional final, she let the world know in her postgame interview that she wouldn’t settle for anything less.

“I refuse to (expletive) fail,” the star middle blocker said in an interview with ESPN.

She apologized after realizing what she had said. But the message and her overall energy were well received by Badgers fans on social media.

The senior, who has played the past three years at Wisconsin after starting his career at Minnesota, had 11 kills and a .389 hitting percentage in Wisconsin’s win. Mimi Colyer, who led the team with a team-high 23 kills, joined Booth in the on-court interview.

This is the Badgers’ sixth Final Four appearance in Kelly Sheffield’s 13 years as coach and fifth in the past seven years.

Wisconsin has won 13 straight games dating to Nov. 2 and is just two wins away from its second national championship. If Booth had a say, Wisconsin wouldn’t lose again.
