CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (AP) — Nick Boyd scored 25 points and John Blackwell scored 24 to lead Wisconsin to a 92-90 overtime victory over No. 8 Illinois on Tuesday night.
The Badgers scored nine of their 11 points in overtime, handing the Illini their second straight overtime loss. Illinois lost to No. 10 Michigan State on Saturday.

Wisconsin (17-7, 9-4 Big Ten) trailed by 12 points with 8:10 left in regulation but forced overtime with a pair of 3-pointers by Austin Rupp in the final two minutes to tie the game at 81. Rupp finished with 18 points.
The Badgers’ Nolan Winter scored a career-high 26 points in Saturday’s overtime loss to Indiana, scoring four points but also grabbing 11 rebounds.
Keaton Wagler scored 34 points for Illinois (20-5, 11-3), which did not have injured starters Kylan Boswell (hand) and Andrej Stojakovic (ankle).
The Illini’s Tomislav Ivesic had 19 points and 11 rebounds, David Milkovich had 12 points, Jake Davis had 11 points and Ben Humrichs had 10 points.

Ivicic scored 17 points in the first half. His No. 13 jersey was torn in the first few minutes of the game, and he wore No. 52 jersey for almost the entire game.
The Illini entered the game as the fifth-ranked free throw shooting team in the country but made 11 of 19 attempts from the line. Their eight offensive rebounds were a season low and their 13 turnovers were the most in the Big Ten.
The two teams combined for 69 three-pointers, with Wisconsin shooting 16 points on 36 shots and Illinois shooting 15 points on 33 shots.
Illinois led 44-38 at halftime and trailed by eight points from the start.
