Wisconsin Badgers vs. Northwestern Wildcats Game Thread: It’s time for Big Ten play

The Wisconsin Badgers will open Big Ten play on Wednesday against the Northwestern Wildcats. Tip-off time is set for 8:00 pm at the Kohl Center.

The Badgers had a solid Thanksgiving and traveled to San Diego to compete in the Rady Kids Invitational. They defeated the Providence Friars 104-83 to reach the championship game, but lost to the TCU Horned Frogs in the finals.

With the loss, Wisconsin fell to 5-2 on the year and dropped out of the AP top 25 last week.

They have two home games this week, starting with a Big Ten game against Northwestern and then Saturday’s I-94 rivalry game against Marquette at the Kohl Center.

The Wildcats are once again led by forward Nick Martinelli, who is back among the Big Ten’s leading scorers.

Transfer Arlington Page excelled early, scoring 15 points per game while also being an excellent rebounder.

Northwestern also has a 5-2 record so far, with losses to Virginia and Oklahoma State.

The Big Ten is always a very tight contest, so getting an early lead in the standings on Wednesday will be good for the Badgers. Join us, our gaming theme is officially open!
