We are two weeks away from the NBA trade deadline on February 5th. The Boston Celtics exceeded all preseason expectations and could potentially position themselves as buyers, especially if they look to increase their chances of making a deep run in the playoffs.
Brad Stevens has been linked to multiple players, with Ivica Zubac being the most consistent name and Jaren Jackson Jr. being the latest. If Boston does start hunting big game, it will likely leave Anfernee Simons’ expiring contract behind in trade negotiations. The problem is, losing Simmons leaves Boston extremely thin at the guard position, which could become an issue as we get deeper into the season or playoffs.

Turpin also talked about which of the two big men he prefers, as well as Boston’s current dissatisfaction with the league’s officiating in recent games.
