A Wichita Falls woman has filed a lawsuit against Sam’s Club after she was injured in a fall inside the store, court records show.
The lawsuit was filed in 1978th District Court opens on Wednesday.
The lawsuit alleges that on December 26, 2024, Susan Awtry was shopping at the store at 3801 E. Keler Avenue and then went to the restroom.
“There was a height change between the concrete floor of the store and the tile floor of the bathroom entrance, causing Plaintiff to fall during the height change, causing Plaintiff’s injuries,” the lawsuit states.
A photo included with the set shows the measured distance between the concrete floor and the tile floor being approximately half an inch.
The lawsuit alleges that the restroom entrance did not meet Texas accessibility standards and that Autry suffered damages due to the store’s negligence.
