Unfortunately, Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen was denied a vote in Sunday’s presidential election after arriving at the club to make his selection.
The German goalkeeper, who is currently on loan at Girona, was spotted voting at the club but was unable to do so due to a technical glitch.

According to ESPN, Ter Stegen’s name does not appear on the voter registration rolls, meaning he cannot participate.
Socios (members) have a responsibility to maintain their membership in the club and Ter Stegen appears to have failed to do so and therefore cannot stand in the elections.
Ter Stegen recently returned to the club to recover after undergoing surgery. The goalkeeper, who is on loan at Girona, will be out for some time and Michel is unsure when he will return.
“Right now, I don’t know how his recovery is going. We spoke after the surgery and he is recovering in Barcelona,” he told reporters this week.

“He has been asked to come here at some point but I don’t know the extent of his injury or recovery. Everything is going well. He is an injured player and is not on our radar. That’s why I don’t have any information about his recovery.”
