The Broncos will reportedly acquire Jaylen Waddle and a fourth-round pick from the Dolphins in exchange for a first-round pick and third- and fourth-round picks from the Denver Nuggets.

“The Broncos received Waddle and the Dolphins’ 4th-round pick (11th overall) in this year’s draft. The Dolphins received in this year’s draft: 1st-round pick (30th overall) and 3rd and 4th-round picks (30th overall in each round),” NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports.

Why the Dolphins traded Jaylen Waddle

The Dolphins are clearly in the process of a complete tear-down and rebuild and trying to get as much money as possible.

Waddle is still young enough to be part of a rebuild, but it’s clear the Broncos made a godfather-like offer that Miami couldn’t refuse.

Now, the Dolphins are equipped with more draft capital, which should help speed up said rebuild.

Why the Broncos traded Jaylen Waddle

The Broncos have a young and unproven group at wide receiver beyond Courtland Sutton and desperately need more help at the position to make another run at the Super Bowl.

Now, Bonix’s wide receiver room is getting a massive upgrade.
