How sweet this is.
The top-seeded Wolverines advanced to their seventh straight NCAA tournament and into the Sweet 16 with a 95-72 win over ninth-seeded St. Louis on Saturday at KeyBank Center.
Axel Lundborg scored 25 points to lead Michigan (33-3), which tied the program’s record for most wins in a season.

Michigan will face the winner of fourth-seeded Alabama or fifth-seeded Texas Tech on Friday in Chicago for a spot in the Elite Eight. The Alabama-Texas game will air live on CBS on Sunday at 9:45 p.m.
No one averages more points per game or makes more 3-pointers than Alabama. The Crimson Tide has scored 100 or more points 10 times and has made fewer than 10 3-pointers in just six of 33 games. Alabama, led by former Romulus High coach Nate Oats, opened the NCAA tournament with a 90-70 victory over Hofstra without top 3-point shooter Aden Holloway, who was arrested earlier this week on a felony drug charge.
The Red Raiders might not be as dangerous without forward JT Toppin, who averaged 21 points and 10 rebounds before suffering a season-ending ACL injury. But they still have outstanding point guard Christian Anderson, a former longtime player at Michigan who retired after Juwan Howard was fired, leading the way. Texas Tech suffered a three-game losing streak in the NCAA tournament before getting back on track with a 91-71 first-round victory over Akron.
