As of Jan. 19, Wisconsin has up to 31 commitments in its 2026 transfer portal class.

Headlining the group: running back Abu-Sama (Iowa State), wide receiver Zion Kearney (Oklahoma State), wide receiver Shamar Rigby (Oklahoma State), quarterback Colton Joseph (Old Dominion), interior offensive lineman Austin Kaveki (Oklahoma State) and safety Marvin Burks Jr. (Missouri).

In addition to the 31 new players, 23 players exited during the transfer cycle. The roster changes will see new starters on the depth chart, including quarterback, wide receiver, tight end, center, rusher, cornerback and defensive line.

Wisconsin’s success in the 2026 season will largely depend on the performance of its transfer class. The program has missed the playoffs two years in a row, which poses a huge risk to the program’s performance. Odds are, this group will determine Luke Fickell’s future with this program.
