Love is the only candidate who isn’t a quarterback. The quarterback won the Heisman Trophy three years in a row until two-way player Travis Hunter ended that streak in 2024.

Indiana’s Mendoza is rumored to be the favorite, but if Love succeeds, he would become the first running back to win the Heisman Trophy since Derrick Henry in 2015.
