As a result of the game, Gary Neville once again said Chelsea need to put an end to any title discussions now as they are “a long way away” from challenging for the league title.
Personally, I don’t think we’re “far apart” just because of the inconsistency of all the other clubs around us, but it’s hard to disagree with a lot of the points he makes here.
Leeds United’s defeat even caused former Blues player Jason Condy to lose his mind on talkSPORT after the game and let out some bizarre rants!

Losing to Leeds United saw Opta finish fourth, making them their most likely position for the 2025/26 season.
Third place is Chelsea’s most likely next spot, and their chances of winning the Premier League are 1.33%.
The owner will agree
We keep hearing through media briefings that Chelsea are not going to challenge for the title this season anyway, as they currently only have top-four expectations set. So I guess they’ll be happy with these predictions, oddly enough.
Chelsea fans will now believe that after investing so much money in this team, their aim this season should be to achieve higher results than just a top-four finish.
