What Michigan HC Brandon Naurato said after loss to Michigan State

After Michigan defeated Michigan State on Friday night, the Spartans defeated the Wolverines in Saturday’s D-Region Duel to bring the Iron D trophy back to East Lansing.

After the game, Michigan head coach Brandon Norato addressed the media and discussed his team’s loss to Michigan State inside Little Caesars Arena.

  • “I didn’t think the score was like that. They were faster and ahead of us with the puck.”

  • “We focused on urgency and toughness. It just didn’t work out.”

  • “It’s a great game for college hockey. It’s a great opportunity for attention for our sport and youth hockey in this state.”

Michigan will face Penn State next weekend in another big Big Ten series, while MSU will have a week off before hosting Notre Dame.
