BERLIN (AP) — Werder Bremen ended a 13-match winless run in the Bundesliga on Saturday with a 2-0 win over relegation rivals Heidenheim.
Bremen missed a number of chances but Milosevic scored from Romano Schmid’s cross in the 57th minute and Hennes Behrens’ own goal in stoppage time confirmed Werder’s first win after three consecutive defeats under new coach Daniel Thioune.

That was enough for Bremen to leapfrog Wolfsburg into the relegation play-offs. Wolfsburg, who have not won any of their last six games, visit Stuttgart on Sunday.
St. Pauli beat an ambitious Hoffenheim team 1-0, with Heidenheim still at the bottom of the table, nine points from safety.
Mathias Pereira Lage scored for St. Pauli just before half-time to lift the Hamburg club out of the relegation zone with a third win in four games.
Kevin Dix took a penalty kick in stoppage time to help Monchengladbach beat Union Berlin 1-0, ending the Colts’ seven-match winless streak.
Jarel Quasa scored late to give Leverkusen a 1-1 draw with Mainz, canceling out Sheraldo Becker’s second-half volley for Mainz.

But the draw was a blow to Leverkusen’s hopes of finishing fourth in the race for Champions League qualification. Leverkusen remains sixth, with Stuttgart and Leipzig both likely to pull further away. Leipzig travel to Hamburg on Sunday.
League leaders Bayern Munich travel to Borussia Dortmund later on Saturday in a ‘classic’ clash that could extend their lead to 11 points with 10 games remaining.
