The NFL community is mourning the death of Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Rondale Moore at the age of 25.

Authorities confirmed Moore was found in a garage in his hometown of New Albany, Indiana, with what police said was a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Russell Wilson shares emotional message after Rodale Moore’s death

Following the announcement, Wilson issued a heartfelt tribute.

“RIP Rodale Moore. Heartbroken for your family, friends and teammates,” he wrote on the X.

He then sent a longer message. “God…we need you. Tell me, my teammates, my brothers…how to help.

“Show us the way. We are not alone, even if we feel like we are. Let us communicate with each other and pray for each other. We need you now!”

Wilson’s words reflected the broader sadness around the league, with players publicly expressing grief and support for Moore’s loved ones.

JJ Watt pays tribute to former Arizona Cardinals teammate Rodale Moore

Watt, who played alongside Moore during his time with the Arizona Cardinals, also shared his reaction.

“Can’t even begin to understand or process this,” he said. “No way. Too soon. Too special. So much more to give. Rest in peace, Rodale.”

Watt and Moore were teammates in Arizona, and the young receiver quickly earned respect for his work ethic and explosiveness.

Moore, a former Purdue standout, was previously considered one of the league’s brightest young talents.

His death at just 25 years old left teammates and fans grappling with the loss of a player many believed still had a lot of future ahead of him.
