According to ESPN NBA insider Marc Spears, Curry suffered a setback “around the All-Star break.”
The veteran sharpshooter was drafted into the big games of the season but was ruled out of the game due to a knee injury that sidelined him for a significant period of time.
“He’s trying to work out, trying to come back, but it’s pushing him back. I’m not sure when he’s going to be back,” Spears added.
The 17-year-old veteran has not played in a game since January 30 when the Warriors faced the Detroit Pistons. At that time, he played 25 minutes, made 7 of 16 shots and scored 23 points.
Curry left the court due to physical discomfort and did not return for the following game against the Philadelphia 76ers. Suddenly, this became the new normal for the Warriors for the time being. Heading into the All-Star break, the Warriors planned to sideline Curry for some time.

Three games since their return, Curry still hasn’t been in the lineup. After missing the game against the Memphis Grizzlies on February 25, Curry officially missed nine consecutive games. He has no timetable for his return and is filled with more worries.
Given the situation the Warriors are in, one has to wonder if Curry would see value in returning. The Warriors plan to compete for the NBA championship. They had a record of 31-28 and entered the play-in tournament as the eighth seed.
Is it worth putting his long-term health at risk for Curry knowing their key forward Jimmy Butler has no chance of returning to the playoffs? Regardless of what anyone else thinks, Spears said Curry wants to play again this year — whether it’s next week or later.
“[The Warriors are] Might be too bad for a playoff lock and a top-six finish, but they’re too good not to be in the play-offs. So, Stephen is expected to play. He wants to play in the play-offs. He wants a chance to make the playoffs. “
