TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — EJ Warner threw for 214 yards and a touchdown and Dylan Lynch kicked four field goals and Fresno State beat Miami Ohio State 18-3 in the Arizona Bowl on Saturday night.
Defensively, Fresno State kept Miami out of the red zone all game except for the Redhawks’ opening possession when they reached the 15-yard line and then Dom Dzioban kicked a 33-yard field goal for their only score of the game.

The Bulldogs are one of 15 teams in the FBS holding opponents to under 300 yards per game (293.5), allowing 192 yards to their opponents.
After the Heat hit an early field goal, Lynch hit a three-pointer in the second quarter to lead 9-3 at halftime. That advantage lasted until the fourth quarter, when Warner hit Richie Anderson III with a 2-yard touchdown pass. The Bulldogs looked to take a 14-point lead but scored two straight points in transition, but Warner’s pass failed to make it 15-3.
Lynch made his fourth of five field goals with 2:56 left in the game. The 37-yard shot was his most anticipated shot of the game because the other three shots were all within 30 yards.
Fresno State is making its fifth consecutive bowl appearance, with first-year coach Matt Entz earning the win. Miami also made its fifth consecutive bowl appearance, but lost again in the Arizona Bowl. Last year, the Redhawks defeated Colorado State 43-17.
