UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (AP) — Grace VanSlooten had her fifth double-double of the season, Jalyn Brown scored 16 points and Rashunda Jones scored 14 as No. 12 Michigan State came from behind to beat Penn State 81-70 on Saturday afternoon.
Van Sloten was the leading scorer for the Spartans (20-4, 9-4 Big Ten) with 20 points and 14 rebounds. She made 9 of 18 field goals. Kennedy Blair contributed 12 points.

Kiyomi McMiller scored a career-high 37 points on 16-of-33 shooting for Penn State (8-16, 1-12). She shot 3-for-4 from beyond the arc and 2-for-4 from the free throw line. Freshman Tea Cleante scored 10 points for the Nittany Lions.
The Nittany Lions took their largest lead in the second quarter, going on a 6-0 run to take a 45-29 lead. The Spartans chased the score to 45-33 with the last two goals of the first half. After halftime, Michigan State went on a 16-0 run to end the third quarter and lead 54-52, while Penn State was held scoreless for more than six minutes.
Mac Miller scored 11 points in the fourth quarter, but Michigan State led by double digits in the final three minutes.
Michigan State’s 16-point comeback was its largest since 2005, when the Spartans beat Tennessee 68-64 to advance to the national championship game.
