NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — An investigation into the conduct of a Vanderbilt University faculty member has been launched, officials said.
Just after 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, the university announced it had received reports alleging that a faculty member shared “offensive content” during course instruction.

Then, shortly after 8:30 p.m., Vanderbilt University sent an updated statement to News 2, saying the allegations involved “unprofessional conduct related to content shared during course instruction” by a faculty member.
“The content in question has been removed and a formal investigation has been initiated in accordance with relevant university policies,” school officials said.

Vanderbilt has not released any additional information about the situation, including the nature of the content that prompted the investigation or the process for sharing that content.
