“I think we have a new superstar on our hands,” Michael Bisping said at the end of Tommy McMillen’s stoppage win at UFC Fight Night 272 on Saturday.
McMillan (10-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) looked for war from the start of his featherweight bout at Meta APEX in Las Vegas, and opponent Manolo Zechini (11-5 MMA, 0-2 UFC) happily responded as they fought in a wild and entertaining manner.

Zechini could only take the damage for so long, though, and eventually McMillan cut him open and hurt him with multiple knees until he folded and curled to the canvas, forcing referee Herb Dean to stop the fight with a TKO at 3:57 of the first round.

McMillan is a close friend and training partner of former UFC champion Sean O’Malley, who also stands by his side. They’ve received some comparisons regarding appearance, and Bisping’s comments about form may also reveal the UFC’s confidence in McMillon
“I wanted to stay active,” McMillon said in a postgame interview with Bisping. “Thank you to everyone who came out to support me tonight… To those who are not believers, you all make me sick.”
