UFC fighters known for sucker punches and eye pokes now training FBI agents in Quantico

Straight out of The X-Files.

As promised, the UFC and FBI will join forces March 14-15 at the organization’s Agent Academy in Quantico, with past and present fighters Justin Gaethje, Jorge Masvidal, Chris Weidman, Claudia Gadelha, Michael Chandler, Manel Kapp Kape and Renzo Gracie will teach recruits how to fight here.

Masvidal could show them how to beat the suspect, and if they continued to deviate, Chandler could use his patented fishhook. That’s assuming they can still see after Weidman pokes them with both eyes.

“I have the utmost respect for the FBI and the work they do every day to protect this country,” said UFC CEO Dana White. “Our UFC fighters are some of the best on the planet and they will be traveling to Quantico to train the best FBI agents in mixed martial arts. This is a great opportunity for our athletes to experience and we are proud to support the FBI in strengthening their defense technology.”

The deal was struck under the leadership of FBI Director Kash Patel, who was nominated by U.S. President Donald Trump.

Trump is a longtime friend of UFC CEO Dana White.

“I am pleased to announce that the FBI and UFC are hosting this historic symposium in Quantico,” added Patel. “This is a great opportunity for our FBI agents to learn and train with some of the greatest athletes on the planet, helping world-class law enforcement agencies be better prepared to protect the American people. Dana White is a game-changer for the mixed martial arts industry, and we are extremely honored to partner with him, the pros, and the UFC. We are grateful for their shared love of our country so that we can better defend her.”

UFC matchmaker Mick Maynard will also be in attendance.
