Earlier tonight (Saturday, January 31, 2026), Jonathan Micallef improved his Octagon record to 2-0 Ultimate Fighting Championship 325 live streaming Paramount+ Stopped welterweight Oban Elliott via second-round comeback (rear-naked choke) inside Kudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia.
Elliott was at a betting disadvantage heading into Saturday’s game, getting into trouble at the opening bell. Apparently some of the hatred for Micallef carried over to the cage and prompted Elliott to jump out and take a strong lead. Micallef just couldn’t get to his feet and bore little resemblance to how he looked in his UFC debut nearly a year ago.

In the second round, things worsened for Micallef as Elliott started landing his hands more often. Elliott ended up hurting Micallef’s foot and would have eliminated his opponent. Instead, he decided to stay in the cage, which gave Micallef the chance to come back and score a nice takedown. From there, Micallef quickly locked up Elliott with a rear-naked choke, eventually putting Elliott to sleep.
