Udinese will miss the game, with former Roma striker Nicolo Zaniolo still out with a knee injury, but he is aiming to return next week.
His absence further affects the hosts’ attacking options, although Udinese can still rely on the fine form of Kenan Davies, who has been directly involved in 10 Serie A goals this season after scoring again in the 3-1 win over Hellas Verona.
There are other health issues with the team. Alessandro Zanoli scored in that latest win at Stadio Bentegodi before suffering an ACL injury and being ruled out for the rest of the season.

Adam Buksa and Jakub Piotrowski also remain on the treatment table with ongoing knee and thigh injuries. On the left wing, Hassan Kamara was ruled out by head coach Kosta Lenjaci with a foot contusion, leaving the door open for Jordan Zemulla to continue in his place.

Paulo Dybala, who has scored a league-record 21 goals in 22 Serie A games against Udinese, will miss the game with a knee problem and is expected to be out for around two weeks. The situation is further complicated by the fact that Manu Cone has been out for about three weeks.
Artem Dovbik remains on the long-term absence list. Both Evan Ferguson and Stephan El-Shaarawi are major doubts for this game. On a more positive note, Roma will welcome back former Aston Villa loan strikers Donyell Malen and Robino Vaz, both of whom are ineligible for European competition and are now available to play domestically.

Spanish center back Mario Hermoso has returned to full training and has been selected for Roma’s squad for this game.

Kosta Lenjic’s side defeated Hellas Verona 3-1 away from home last weekend. In this campaign, Udinese returned to the top half of the Serie A standings with 29 points, only 1 point behind Bologna. Their main concern is their defence, which has kept them without a clean sheet in their last seven games.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s side ended their latest league campaign with a 1-1 draw with AC Milan at the Stadio Olimpico, their first domestic draw since April. Coney de Winter gave Milan the lead shortly after the hour mark, but Lorenzo Pellegrini equalized in the 74th minute through a handball from David Bartesaghi.
