The UCLA Bruins began Big Ten play last weekend with the Bruins sweeping the Wisconsin Badgers. The Bruins defeated Wisconsin 38-14 in three games.
UCLA not only leads the Big Ten in the standings, but also in the statistical standings. Bruins seniors Megan Grant and Jordan Woolery have left the rest of the Big Ten far behind, with both UCLA stars off to incredible starts to the 2026 season.

The two Bruins sluggers hit a combined 32 home runs, with Grant ranking first with 18 and Woolery second with 14. Michigan’s Lauren Putz is third with 12 home runs. Grant and Woolery combined for more homers than 10 of the 18 Big Ten teams.
As of Wednesday, three players in the Big Ten were batting .500 or better, and UCLA had two, Grant and Woolery. Grant hit .538 and Woolery hit .507. The two Bruins are behind Purdue’s Moriah Polar, who leads the league with a .579 scoring average but doesn’t have the quality of Grant or Woolery.
Woolery and Grant also led the Big Ten in RBIs, with Woolery having 50 RBIs and Grant having 43 RBIs. Putz again trailed the UCLA duo with 39 RBIs. Grant and Woolley also finished in the top ten in OPS, which is no surprise, with Grant at 1.635 and Woolley at 1.233.
