U.S. Senator Comes Out And Says It About Trump: ‘Invoke The 25th Amendment’

Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., is calling on President Donald Trump’s Cabinet and Vice President J.D. Vance to remove him from office through the 25th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution over his latest threat to Greenland.

Markey shared a New York Times headline on

“Invoke the 25th Amendment,” Markey replied, referring to the constitutional process by which the vice president and a majority of the Cabinet can declare a president unable to discharge his duties. If the president disputes the declaration, Congress will ultimately decide whether he remains in power.

Politics: Racism is the only campaign promise Trump keeps

That was enough for Markey and at least three other U.S. lawmakers. Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.), Rep. Sydney Kamrag Dove (D-Calif.) and Rep. Yassamine Ansari (D-Ariz.) also called for invoking the 25th Amendment, with Ansari explicitly describing Trump as “severely mentally ill.”

Others on social media also called for the 25th Amendment to be invoked:
