Authorities are still investigating why the pedestrians were on the road. Police Department spokesperson Lt. Candace Young said the pedestrian’s car did not have malfunction.
She said the incident was a single incident and no driver was injured or driving erratically. Four vehicles involved in the crash remained at the scene Thursday night.
The crash happened about a mile from another crash on I-10 that killed one person earlier Wednesday.
