Twitter Voice Tweets: How to Post a Tweet in Your Own Voice

Twitter launched Voice Tweets on its platform last year, allowing users to tweet using their voice. This helps in quickly posting tweets on Twitter without typing the content in text form. After posting your initial voice tweet, you can also add a text tweet as a follow-up tweet. This enhances the overall experience not only for users who tweet, but also for their followers, as they will be able to listen to tweets posted on the platform rather than just read their messages. Voice tweets also bring a personal touch to Twitter, as people can use their own voices to post updates on the Weibo network.

Since launching last June, voice tweets on Twitter have been limited to iOS users. This means that only the Twitter app for iOS can record and post your voice tweets. However, users on platforms other than desktop, Android and iOS can also play voice tweets posted by iOS users. The company also recently added the option to automatically generate transcripts.

If you have the Twitter app on your iPhone or iPad and want to know how to post voice tweets, here are the steps for you.

How to use voice tweets on Twitter

Before you start with the steps on how to use voice tweets on Twitter, it’s important to note that you can record up to 2 minutes and 20 seconds per voice tweet. If your message is longer than the given time limit, the system will automatically limit it to 25 tweets.

  1. Open the Twitter app on your iPhone or iPad.

  2. Click the tweet compose icon in the lower right corner.

  3. Now, tap on the “Wavelength” voice tweet icon above your keyboard. This will start recording your message.

  4. tap complete When you have finished leaving your message.

You can add textual follow-up tweets to your voice tweets. However, it’s worth noting here that you can’t post audio tweets through the Reply and Quote Tweet features. You can only record your voice tweets as original tweets. Twitter also does not allow users to directly upload any audio files as voice tweets on its platform.
