Saudi club Al Ittihad have launched preliminary talks to explore the possibility of signing Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah in the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to “Foot Mercato”, Salah’s agent Rami Abbas has begun discussions with the Saudi club management. There are some signs that the ‘Egyptian Pharaoh’ is now open to the idea of leaving, although he has eased past tensions with Liverpool.

The report states that the relationship between Salah and his coach reached a breaking point in December after Salah faced public criticism for being on the bench. However, the Egypt international regained his starting spot after participating in the African Cup of Nations.
Sources believe the potential deal could benefit all parties: Liverpool would receive a financial boost, while Salah would have the opportunity to finally clarify his future.
Notably, Armed has recently lost French stars Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante. Meanwhile, Fabinho’s contract expires in June this year, while Moussa Diaby’s name is being discussed as a possible departure. All of these factors reinforce the desperate need for significant signings from Saudi clubs in the upcoming summer transfer window.
