Gabriel has proven his worth as an outstanding contributor in defense for Lecce. The 21-year-old has scored once in 21 games for the Italian club this season.

The Portuguese club performed well defensively in the half-court, making 34 tackles, 21 interceptions, 19 interceptions and 123 clearances in Serie A. In Italian Serie A, his passing success rate is 88.7% (statistics from fbref.com), and his ball possession rate is also relatively good.
His current contract at the Italian club expires in the summer of 2027, which may make it difficult for Tottenham to sign him cheaply this year.
