Cam Ward couldn’t get his Tennessee Titans to win on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.

But Ward went on to have a special performance that justified the Titans’ No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Ward has cleaned up his game in recent weeks, limiting turnovers and throwing more touchdowns.
“Ward had his fourth straight game with two or more touchdown passes, giving him eight total touchdowns in that stretch,” ESPN’s Turron Davenport wrote. “This comes after throwing just six touchdown passes in the first 12 games. Ward has just one interception in the past four games after throwing six interceptions in the first 12 games.”

Ward made a number of Mahomes-like plays against the Saints.
That included one move that didn’t count, a ridiculous fourth-down dive by Tyjae Spears that appeared to extend the field goal, but replay review showed Ward’s knee barely scraped the ground before breaking away from the football.
On Sunday, Ward completed passes to nine different players.
He has an impressive young core around him. The Titans have a talented pair of rookie wide receivers: Chimere Dike and Elic Ayomanor. Rookie tight end Gunnar Helm also had his moments.

This Titans team could become a contender sooner than anyone thinks — if Ward keeps playing like this, of course.
