Titans agree to terms with 49ers DT Jordan Elliott

The Tennessee Titans have slowed down a bit during the NFL’s legal tampering, but they’re not quite done yet. On Tuesday night, they announced they had reached an agreement with San Francisco 49ers defensive tackle Jordan Elliott. The signing reunites the six-year veteran with his former defensive coordinator, Robert Saleh.

Elliott spent his first four seasons in the NFL with the Cleveland Browns before signing with the 49ers in 2024. He played two seasons there, the second under Titans head coach Robert Saleh.

In 2025, Elliott totaled 31 tackles (eight solo), one pass defended and four interceptions. In the 49ers’ 3-4 formation, Elliott serves as a defensive end. However, under Saleh’s 4-3 scheme at Tennessee, Elliott could return to his natural defensive tackle position.

The more defensive players the Titans add in free agency, the more analysts and insiders will expect to select offensive players in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft. But don’t expect this to be a given. The Titans’ defense needs more attention than their offense, so it wouldn’t be surprising if they still draft a rusher with the No. 4 pick.
