The Seattle Seahawks will face the New England Patriots in Super Bowl X. There are tons of weird Super Bowl facts that come out every campaign. This year, the weirdest circumstances have certainly worked in the Seahawks’ favor.
Patriots quarterback Derek Meyer is a second-year starter. After a great regular season, he became an MVP candidate. For Meyer to win Super Bowl X, he must accomplish something that has never been done in Super Bowl history.

Jay Cuda said a starting quarterback with a last name five letters or less has not won a Super Bowl. The truth gets even stranger. Starting quarterbacks whose first and last names end with the same letter are 0-6 (.000) in Super Bowls since the AFC’s inception (1970). Drake and Maye both end in E, and Maye is less than five letters long!
As Cuda pointed out, quarterbacks with Maye as DM are 0-2 in Super Bowl history. Dan Marino and the Miami Dolphins lost to Joe Montana and the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XIX. Donovan McNabb and the Philadelphia Eagles lost to the Patriots in Super Bowl 39.
#vibes The trend is clearly in favor of the Seahawks. Is Meyer good enough to overcome all the historical numbers stacked against him?
