The Blues overhauled their forward line last summer by bringing in five attacking players, but it’s clear they are looking for more.

Chelsea already have Giovanni Kunda and Emmanuel Emerga joining at the end of the season but are thought to be in need of one more player.

Morgan Rogers mentioned as Chelsea interest

After not doing any business in January, Chelsea are expected to be active again in the summer window with a number of positions to fill.

It’s no secret that the left wing could be a target after looking at the possibility of Antoine Semenho, with Alejandro Garanjo and Jamie Gittens both disappointing.

However, Jacobs has confirmed that the Blues are in fact looking for a “versatile centre-forward” attacker, naming a name he has heard of.

“Chelsea wanted a ‘versa attacker in the middle’ in the summer. I don’t think they were looking at an out-and-out left-winger because they drafted Kunda as a left-winger,” he told Alex Goldberg on Twitch.

“Morgan Rogers is a name I keep hearing.”

Chelsea were linked with Rodgers last summer but a move never materialised, with the Blues not even reaching the stage of making an offer.

Rogers has played 40 times this season, scoring 10 goals and assisting 7 times, and his contract runs until 2031.

Chelsea face crucial summer transfer window

With last summer’s performance outside of Joao Pedro not ideal, it will be crucial for the Blues to perform this summer.
