The iPhone 17e will reportedly bring some key upgrades without raising the price

Apple reportedly keeps iPhone entry price at $599 BloombergMark Gurman. In the latest Power On report, Gurman said the iPhone 17e is “coming soon” and will maintain the same price as its predecessor.

Considering we’re still about a year away from the iPhone 16e’s release, we should be getting a more affordable successor to Apple’s smartphone. According to Gurman, Apple has upgraded the new budget iPhone with MagSafe charging and the A19 chip used in the iPhone 17 base model. According to Gurman, the iPhone 17e will also feature Apple’s latest in-house cellular and wireless chips.

In our review of the iPhone 16e, we didn’t particularly like it because of its limited camera capabilities, especially compared to the iPhone 17, which was released a few months later. However, for the same $599 price, Apple’s iPhone 17e comes with some significant upgrades and will compete with Google’s Pixel 10a. More specifically, Gurman expects Apple to target emerging economies and the enterprise crowd with the iPhone 17e. iPhone sales in China have been recovering even as Apple faces tougher competition in overseas markets. Apple even predicts strong iPhone sales in Asia, especially in China and India.
