But the truth is, at the moment, I don’t think any of us will know who the new head coach is until the end of the season, when the club are expected to make their announcement.

Romano’s latest news on manager search

Romano reported yesterday:
“There is nothing going on between Chelsea and Xavi Hernandez. That is my understanding today.
“If they decide to meet tomorrow morning. I will let you know. But as of today, the beginning of May, there has been zero contact between Xavi and Chelsea.
“Chelsea continues the process of finding a new manager. The feeling at the club is that they are still in the early stages, talking to candidates, candidates’ representatives and preparing a final list. But there is still no progress, there is still no decision.”
