Texans running back Jahar Jordan spent two seasons on the practice squad but was never activated for the regular season. Until today.
Jordan finally came alive today and made the most of his opportunity, rushing for 101 yards on 15 carries in the Texans’ win over the Cardinals.

“It’s so surreal,” Jordan said via houston chronicle. “It’s a blessing to be out there with these guys and I’m grateful. Words can’t describe how I feel, it’s crazy. This is probably the most important day for me. “
The Texans must delve deep into their running back depth chart before giving Jordan a chance. Joe Mixon is out all season, Nick Chubb is out today, and Woody Marks was injured earlier in today’s game. That left the Texans with Jordan and Dale Ogunbowale, and Jordan was the more efficient running back of the two, so the Texans kept getting the ball to him.
Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans likes what he sees from Jordan.
“Jakhar did a great job for us,” Reigns said. “He runs the ball very well, efficiently and shows his explosiveness and speed, which we’ve seen in practice. It just goes to show that every time your number is called, you’re ready to take that opportunity. No one knows until you get to that moment, and it’s all about making the most of that moment and not looking back. I thought Jahar handled it well.”
With his performance, Jordan ensured that his first game on the active roster would not be his last.
