Terrorist who killed two in Israel’s North discharged from hospital, brothers arrested

Demonstrations were held at hospitals on Friday demanding that the terrorists not receive treatment. Two brothers of the terrorist were also arrested.

Ahmed Abu al-Rov, the terrorist who killed 68-year-old Shimshon Mordechai and 18-year-old Aviv Maor on Friday, was released from the Emek Medical Center in Afula on Saturday and was later detained and is undergoing further investigation.

Demonstrations were held at hospitals on Friday demanding that the terrorists not receive treatment. The activists are affiliated with the right-wing “La Familia” group.

A social media post calling for the protest said, “Terrorists who kill civilians cannot be treated in an Israeli hospital.”

Activists aim to enter hospitals and demand an end to terrorist hospitalizations.

Police and Shin Bet also announced in a joint statement on Saturday that two of Abu al-Rov’s brothers, aged 30 and 33, were also arrested in an operation on Friday night and transferred for questioning. Police also said there were signs the brothers were trying to conceal their location. Israeli forces raided a building near Araba and arrested them.

A 16-year-old teenager who was injured in Friday’s attack is also being treated at Emek Medical Center. He is currently hospitalized in the pediatric ward with a mild condition. He was injured after being hit by a vehicle used by Abu Rof in Beit She’an.

Abu Rof’s terror attack began on Friday when he ran over and killed Mordechai near Beit She’an. He then drove away from the scene, stopping only to stab Maor as he was on Route 71.

The terrorist continued driving before being shot dead on the outskirts of Afula and taken to hospital for treatment with moderate injuries.

Another 37-year-old man suffered head injuries and was taken to Rambam Hospital in Haifa.
