In a discussion about Ella on TalkingPoints, fans were asked what she should do in 2026 if she wants to become a Grand Slam contender.
The response was as strong as expected, as Ella has arguably the most passionate following on the ATP and WTA tours.
Two common themes emerged in the responses: fixing her serve issues and improving her conditioning.

As one fan succinctly put it: “She needs to improve her serve, stamina, and consistency throughout the game. I think she needs better coaching, and so far, the attraction and price for that has probably been prohibitive. Maybe that will change now.”
Another fan agreed, saying: “Like I always say: to win, Alex should first work harder on her serve, strength, and endurance.”
One supporter suggested she follow the example of Filipino sports icon Manny Pacquiao, writing: “She needs to train according to Manny Pacquiao’s excellent stamina and stamina blueprint. Her stamina and serve are the main issues.”
Ella’s serve has been seen as an issue since her early days on tour. Now her team needs to address the issue before it becomes a bigger obstacle at the top.
