Mike Borgonzi set out this morning with interview requests in his search for the Tennessee Titans’ next head coach. Ian Rapoport reported this morning that the Titans have requested interviews with Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy and Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph. Many speculated that Borgonzi would want someone who had been a head coach. Both men fit the bill.

Nagy coached the Chicago Bears from 2018 to 2021. As head coach, he compiled a 34-31 record and made the playoffs twice. Nagy has been the most rumored candidate the Titans will interview since Brian Callahan was fired in October.

Joseph served as the Broncos’ head coach from 2017 to 2018. He had an 11-21 record in his two seasons as coach. The Broncos’ defense has been one of the best in the league this season.

You can expect more names to emerge as time goes on. Keep in mind that the only current coaches Borgonzi can interview right now are players from teams that didn’t make the playoffs and teams that got a first-round bye in the playoffs. The two teams are the Broncos in the AFC and the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC.
